August 2, 2010

Dear Iranian - American Community,

I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the past council members and the community for their vote of confidence to elect me as the President of IAB during the past six years. As I have announced for the past three years and at the Annual Meeting, IAB need to have a new President to maintain the current status and to advance the IAB goals and objectives. Therefore, as always we are exercising this democratic process to invite you for this position.  Similar to other council or executive positions, this is a volunteer job and none of us at IAB are paid nor compensated in any way. We all serve because of love to our country and honoring our heritage.

The President is elected by the Shora each year. For the past three years we have publicized the opening for this position. Final selection of the President is based on the majority vote by Shora. Below is the description of the President's duties.  I will assist the elected President to familiarize him/her with the responsibilities.  Please notify This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it   or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it by August 15, 2010 along with a short biography with your vision for IAB.

Respectfully,

Soheila Shafai
