Dear Iranian - American community,
The Iranian Association of Boston (IAB) is a non-profit organization registered in The Commonwealth of Massachusetts with the 501C(3) status and does not have any political or religious affiliations. It was established in 1989 to promote and advance Persian culture and language and to facilitate cooperation/communication among the Iranian-American community members. IAB continuously strives to create awareness of its own events as well as other local programs that we have been asked to put forward by various organizations in our community. There are two electronic media by which the information is transmitted to our voluntary online subscribers on a regular basis. These are email announcements known as IAB News and City News. In order to differentiate between the events offered by these two types of announcements, IAB sends out two separate emails, one with IAB News events, and the other with City News events. The following section specifies the guidelines for each announcement.
IAB News IAB publicizes its own programs via IAB News, which is emailed to its subscribers at least once a week. These programs are sponsored by IAB and are organized under the IAB rules and regulations. Therefore IAB is responsible for its content and the event itself.
City News
City News is a free public service offered by IAB to provide members of the Iranian-American and other communities in New England with news of activities and announcements that are Iranian related in the Boston area. These announcements are not necessarily of events sponsored and/or endorsed by IAB. Additionally, all opinions, points of view, and topics presented at any of these events are not necessarily that of IAB, its members or its board of directors.
Submitting the City News announcement happens twice a month (on the 1st and 15th of each month). IAB must receive your announcement request at least three weeks prior to the event. If any event has direct competition with an IAB event, IAB will reserve the right not to announce it. IAB reserves the right to shorten or modify the messages sent to us for distribution via City News. This by no means should be considered as censorship. This request must be sent to IAB directly from the organization sponsoring the event and not from a third party . IAB is not responsible for the accuracy of the information sent via City News. For further information or questions regarding a City News event, the specific organization listed in the announcement should be contacted. Please note that every City News request that is not consistent with IAB Charter is reviewed by the council members and the decision for announcements are made based on a case-by-case situation.

All funds pledged and donated to the IAB are used to achieve the goals set forth in the Mission Statement. Your donations are tax deductible in accordance with the law.
